Our client in the legal services industry is looking for an experienced Director of Operational Training! This is a super interesting and fast-paced gig, you would be developing and implementing training initiatives across a variety of departments within the organization. This would be a blend of HR and Operations, so if you have a diverse background in training/learning & development, we want to talk to you!
As the Director of Operational Training, you will drive the strategic direction of training programs, ensuring they align with business objectives and industry best practices. The role will involve creating, designing, and implementing innovative training initiatives to improve productivity and enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of the workforce. The position assesses company-wide development needs to drive training initiatives, identifies, and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of training programs throughout the organization.
How YOU Will Spend Your Days
Develop and execute a comprehensive training and development strategy to support the professional growth and skill enhancement of our operational team.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of training modules and curriculum, tailored to the specific needs of our organization and aligned with industry standards.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and design targeted programs to address skill gaps across various job roles and service lines.
Oversee the creation and management of training content, including multimedia resources, e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, and assessments.
Establish metrics and evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness and impact of training initiatives, continuously improving programs based on feedback and analysis.
Partner with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, HR, and department heads, to identify training priorities and align training programs with organizational goals.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to legal services, integrating this knowledge into the training and development strategy.
Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and industry associations to leverage external expertise and resources for training initiatives, as needed.
Monitor and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining high-quality training programs.
What YOU Bring
Bachelor’s degree in law, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience (8+ years) in training and development, with a focus on the legal services industry within the USA preferred.
Proven track record of creating, designing, and launching training programs and modules, preferably in large-scale operations.
Strong knowledge of legal services processes, industry regulations, and best practices, with the ability to translate this knowledge into effective training solutions is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and training evaluation techniques.
Experience with multimedia training platforms, e-learning tools, learning management systems (LMS), and other training technologies.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences at all organizational levels.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to collect and analyze data to drive data-based decision-making and measure training effectiveness.
Location: Austin or Houston, TX - onsite position
Compensation: $125k - $150k per year
