YOUR Why
We’re searching for a dynamic Financial Reporting Manager for our client to partner closely with their Chief Accounting Officer in leading the preparation of financial statements that meet the highest standards - US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and rigorous internal controls over financial reporting. In this pivotal role, you’ll own financial statements and reporting creation, work with market leaders to define and deliver management reporting, dive into complex technical accounting research and analysis, while serving as the go-to liaison for coordinating internal and external audits and exam requests.
How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days
Assist with preparing consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules required for notes to the consolidated financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Assist with technical accounting research and the implementation of new accounting standards.
Assist with coordinating internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and efficient completion of audits.
Support the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer with ad hoc financial analysis, strategic planning, and special projects.
Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including internal and external reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with maintaining and updating accounting policies and procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and banking regulations.
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Assist in tracking and analyzing variance between budget and actual financial results.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Credit, Operations, Executive Management) to ensure smooth financial operations.
What YOU Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5-7 years of progressive experience in technical accounting and/or financial reporting, preferably in a financial institution or commercial banking environment.
Experience with bank regulatory reporting and compliance is highly desirable.
Experience mentoring, coaching, and educating teammates is strongly preferred.
CPA or equivalent public company experience is strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of accounting software.
Understanding of GAAP, banking regulations, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong attention to detail.
Location: Hybrid position - preferably based in the River Art North District.
Compensation: $115k - $145k per year
