Portfolio Reporting Analyst

YOUR Why

In order to support growth for our client, the Portfolio Reporting team is seeking an Analyst/Associate to support the Firm’s long-term goals by enhancing and developing reporting requirements across various teams, including Deal Teams, Strategic Operations, Fund Operations, and Portfolio Company Teams. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit to shape the team and identify opportunities for new capabilities within reporting workstreams. The ideal candidate should have a passion for strategy and operations, applying past experiences to drive better performance and value. The Analyst/Associate will manage multiple projects, support performance monitoring, and strategic reporting initiatives, and work closely with internal and portfolio company leadership.


How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

  • Own, manage, and drive improvements in portfolio company performance reporting and data collection.

  • Work closely with key executives as well as deal teams, strategic operations, and fund operations for the quarterly valuation process.

  • Maintain and create company performance models which provide in-depth information to the different teams of the company as well as investors.

  • Produce and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly portfolio company reporting packages to enable investment team’s review of portfolio company performance.

  • Ensure consistency in reporting across portfolio companies, enabling the firm to leverage data for portfolio monitoring, valuations, investor reporting, and key strategic initiatives.

  • Onboard new portfolio companies by working with management and deal teams to identify and track performance metrics.

  • Assist in the development and facilitation of company presentations for the annual investor meeting.


What YOU Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in an analytical role within financial services, private equity, real estate, or hospitality, with a strong understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.

  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills experience.

  • Excellent operational, organizational, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage and process complex operational work.

  • Experience in a project-based and/or deal-driven environment – i.e., private equity, consulting, transaction, advisory.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and data analytical skills – the ability to work with large datasets, frame, and break down problems, and synthesize themes and insights from analyses. Problem-solving includes both quantitative and qualitative information and problems.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize without feeling overwhelmed and quickly pivot from one task to another.

  • Working knowledge of system platforms and/or business intelligence tools is a plus.


Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO (WFH on Fridays) - local candidates only

Compensation: $90k - $115k per year
