YOUR Why

Our client is looking for a detail-driven Closing Specialist to help bring SBA 7a, 504, and USDA loans across the finish line. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for all things SBA closing-related, owning all aspects of the process from loan approval through funding. You’ll work directly with borrowers, insurance and title professionals, attorneys, and brokers to ensure that loan closing documentation is completed with precision. How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

  • Order and review third-party reports, including lien search, judgment search, UCC search, and title reports.

  • Work directly with Borrower and/or referral source to collect items required for closing.

  • Prepare all closing documents with timeliness and accuracy.

  • Work directly with the title officer, escrow officer, and/or legal counsel to close the loan.

  • Work directly with Loan Ops for funding, loan boarding, and tickler set-up.

  • Present loans prepared to close to the Loan Closing Manager for approval to close and fund with zero file deficiencies.

  • Process post-closing funding on multi-disbursement loans.


What YOU Bring

  • 5+ years of experience closing SBA loans, ideally with a smaller community or regional bank.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.

  • Must have experience and expertise using Finastra LaserPro.

  • Proficient working knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending, and underwriting processes and principles.

  • Proficient working knowledge of credit risk and relationship manager teams.

  • Solid internal and external relationship and communication skills – both verbal and written.

  • Strong commitment to customer service and customer communication.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently and accurately in a production-oriented environment.

  • Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations regarding credit risk (quality, structure, etc.).


Location: Remote position - based in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zone

Compensation: $90k - $120k per year
