Senior Content Design Manager

YOUR Why

We are looking for an experienced content designer to be part of our client’s Digital Product & Design team, responsible for defining and executing an overall content strategy as part of a major client portal launch. The Senior Content Design Manager will partner with a cross-functional team and will effectively prioritize work to align the content strategy with the overall product vision and roadmap for the customer and associate digital channels. This role will also be responsible for managing and executing the delivery of the content management system, migrating from the old on-prem platform to the new CMS in the cloud. We are looking for someone with the ability to turn financial product and service content into simple, engaging language, while educating internal stakeholders on content design.


How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

  • Define and execute an overall content strategy across our digital channels to create an intuitive, self-service solution for our customers.

  • Own and manage the implementation of a content management system including content modeling, planning, execution, and migration.

  • Partner with UI/UX designers, digital products, and technology to build delightful user experiences, both internal and external, from the ground up and shape the product roadmap

  • Own and manage content types focused on products targeted at internal and external users. (ex; product content, UI/UX content, help text, customer notifications, support, etc.)

  • Define the tone of voice for the customer content to ensure we are communicating in a language that resonates with our customer base.

  • Create and advocate for approachable language that best communicates our mission and products externally.

  • Develop frameworks, guidelines, audits, and processes to help define, manage, and improve product content across our digital channels.

  • Ensure high-quality content for our products in terms of simplicity, education, usability, and delightfulness.


What YOU Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience helping people through understandable Content Design, Strategy, and UX Writing, with at least 4 years of professional experience in copywriting and editing.

  • Excellent English language skills, including knowledge of grammar and style.

  • Proficient in content management tools (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Wix)

  • Proven ability to tackle complex subject matter

  • Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on content metrics and an ability to communicate this efficiently to the team.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting constraints.

  • Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, engineers, and user experience researchers.

  • Familiarity with working with compliance and legal teams during the content development and approval process.

  • A portfolio or selection of writing samples and past work to share.


Location: Hybrid position - local Denver, CO candidates only

Compensation: $70 per hour; 6 month contract

No third parties: no C2C or sponsorship available; must be eligible to work W2
