Accountants needed in Louisville, CO or Houston, TX! To be successful, you should have a solid working knowledge of GAAP and robust financial analysis skills. YOUR Why:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team that performs and coordinates accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. An outstanding Senior Accountant would possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.
How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days:
Maintain balance sheet and general ledger accounts including period end account reconciliations, journal entry posting, variance research and analysis, and P&L review.
Ensure timely performance of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
Prepare financial statements and other operational and financial reporting.
Work closely with audit team including coordinating requests and providing support and documentation.
Assess internal controls including performing risk assessments and drafting policies and procedures.
Develop and/or contribute to development of new or updated accounting systems, programs, and processes.
Perform technical GAAP research work with large datasets to perform analysis and provide reporting.
Investigate, research, and resolve audit finding, review variances, and other issues as they arise.
Review and approve ACH, wires, and other baking transactions as needed.
Prepare and distribute debt compliance reports.
Mentor and/or coordinate work of Staff Accountants, AP and AR Specialists.
File sales taxes and work with 3rd parties on the preparation and filing of income, state, and property taxes.
Other ad hoc duties as needed.
What YOU Will Bring:
5+ years of accounting experience related to the above skill set.
Proficiency with MS Excel required; MS Dynamics GP experience a plus.
Excellent time management and organization skills, extreme attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
A demonstrated high degree of integrity, motivation, and the ability to work well both independently and in a highly collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar discipline; CPA and public accounting experience preferred.
Familiarity with real estate management and/or multi-entity environment a plus.

Compensation: $95k - $100k per year
