Our client in Plano, TX is looking for a new Systems Administrator for their team! We're seeking someone with strong systems admin and desktop support experience. If you enjoy a role where you get to touch and learn a little bit of everything in the IT infrastructure, this role is for you!

YOUR Why

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our client’s IT team. This role will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user systems. In addition to standard systems administration duties, this role will provide desktop support and troubleshooting for internal users.


How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

Systems Administration:

  • Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.

  • Perform routine system maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.

  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts and incidents.

  • Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, and support audits and vulnerability assessments.

  • Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.

Desktop Support:

  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including setting up and decommissioning accounts, devices, and access permissions.

  • Install and configure desktop applications and operating systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues for users.


What YOU Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration and desktop support.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation.

  • Familiarity with network configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., switches, firewalls, VLANs).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar are a plus.

Location: Onsite in Plano, TX

Compensation: $85k base
