As our client’s Compliance Officer, you’ll monitor, research, and interpret federal and state regulations, including consumer protection and lending laws, to ensure their policies and practices exceed legal standards. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you’ll provide actionable compliance guidance to business units, helping the bank operate with integrity and confidence every step of the way.

Manage the Compliance program including:
Governance committees
Risk assessments
Regulatory development
Compliance training employees/board members
Compliance monitoring
Compliance audits
Findings management
Policies & procedures
Regulatory Management
Ongoing business & executive reporting.
Manage programs for the Community Reinvestment Act, conduct/sales practices, fair lending, privacy, vendor management, and complaints program - all in alignment with the overall Compliance program.
Ensure products, services, operations, policies, and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor, research, and analyze complex issues relating to governance and compliance including federal and state laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, court decisions, legal opinions, trade association guidance, and other resources, and employ technical compliance expertise to develop strategies for resolution of concerns.
Advise management and business units on requirements of applicable laws and regulations through written and oral analyses, reports, and other communications.
Assist with internal compliance reviews and testing for consumer regulatory compliance, as well as internal company procedures. Recommend and partner with business units to develop and implement corrective actions.
Prepare reports for the Company’s Board of Directors to ensure that the Boards are kept fully informed of the Bank’s Compliance Program.
Lead compliance efforts to implement new or changed compliance requirements.
Respond to various compliance inquiries from the organizations’ business units.
Review and monitor Customer Complaints and respond to customers.
Manage the Compliance Analyst.

What YOU Bring
5+ years of experience in consumer regulatory compliance, legal or operational risk management, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
CRCM certification preferred.
Experience in researching and analyzing complex laws and regulations, staff commentaries, legal opinions, court decisions, and/or other documentation, and the analysis of operations to determine and ensure compliance.
Ability to support and promote an effective, ongoing bank regulatory compliance program. Ability to act as the compliance lead in ongoing business unit projects.
Thorough knowledge of pertinent areas of law.
Team player with highly effective interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with internal business units, and effective representation of organization positions on issues.
Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex issues both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently on multiple issues concurrently and to exercise independent judgment in establishing priorities.
Ability to organize work, make sound decisions, and exercise good judgment.
Ability to think strategically and advocate a proposed course of action while remaining flexible as circumstances change.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and changing priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Compensation: $85k -$110k base
