YOUR Why
We are seeking a highly skilled Certification RF Test Engineer with proven expertise in DOCSIS technologies and RF system testing for the cable industry. This role will be testing wired products, and is critical in validating the performance, compliance, and reliability of DOCSIS-based equipment, ensuring products meet rigorous certification standards & industry specifications.
How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days
Conduct RF certification tests on DOCSIS equipment & prepare detailed documentation.
Maintain test environment, procedures, & scripts to evaluate RF performance & interoperability.
Operate & maintain advanced RF test & measurement equipment, including Averna, ePIDoX, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, & oscilloscopes.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot performance issues, & provide clear technical recommendations for corrective actions.
Partner with cross-functional teams that define specifications & acceptance test procedures (ATPs), accurately execute those tests, & collaborate to troubleshoot & resolve problems as they arise.
Stay current with DOCSIS standards, RF technologies, & cable industry trends to guide test strategies.
Support certification processes by preparing reports & documentation for internal & external stakeholders.
What YOU Bring
5+ years’ experience in testing, certification, or system verification within the cable industry. Prior hands-on DOCSIS experience is a MUST.
Knowledge of RF circuit design, signal integrity, & system-level interactions.
Proficiency with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.).
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly & apply them effectively.
Collaborative communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently & as part of a team.
What Will Set You Apart:
Familiarity with cable modem, CMTS, & network system testing.
Prior experience with Averna & ePIDoX PHY test systems.
Experience with automation tools & scripting languages for test execution (e.g., Python, tcl).
Knowledge of compliance & certification processes with organizations in the cable industry.
Experience testing Wireless technologies.
Location: Onsite in Louisville, CO - local candidates only
Compensation: $90k - $100k per year
