As our client’s Senior Accountant, play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial records in alignment with GAAP and company policies. This high-impact role supports daily accounting operations while preparing and reviewing balance sheets, income statements, reconciliations, and journal entries with precision. In this role, you’ll contribute to SEC reporting through footnotes and disclosures, deliver insightful variance analysis, and help maintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance. Beyond technical excellence, this role provides mentorship to the accounting team, recommends process improvements, supports the annual audit, and takes on special projects that drive financial excellence across the organization.
How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days
Assist daily functions of the accounting department.
Prepare and review monthly balance sheets, income statements, account reconciliations in order to analyze and ensure documentary evidence and financial transaction integrity.
Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
Assist with financial reporting footnotes and disclosures required for SEC reporting.
Assist with the review of financial statements and provide variance analysis.
Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP, company policies/procedures, and governmental requirements.
Contribute mentorship and guidance to employees of the accounting organization.
Review current processes and procedures, and make recommendations and/or changes.
Assist with annual audit.
What YOU Bring
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. Certified Public Accountant or currently on the CPA track is preferred.
6+ years of accounting experience.
Current and working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and experience with establishing internal controls and process improvements.
Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills and Microsoft Excel ability.
Experience at a publicly traded company is a plus.
Oracle Cloud Fusion experience is a plus.
Location: Remote - based in Mountain time zone (preferably Colorado)
