Global Payroll Manager

Our Denver-based client is looking for a new Global Payroll Manager to join their team. You'll partner with the Global Head of Payroll on strategic projects and process improvements to ensure the payroll process is efficient and applying industry best practices. YOUR Why

In this role, you will work with the Global Head of Payroll to oversee the timely and accurate payroll processing for the US, the UK, and 20+ global countries. You’ll coach and mentor the team responsible for processing the US and UK payroll directly, as well as validate and verify overall global payroll for all other global employees. You will serve as an internal point of contact for questions about payroll, serving as an expert on payroll systems, processes, and overall deductions.


How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days

  • Partner with HR and payroll vendors for timely and accurate EU, UK, and US payroll processing.

  • Oversee US and UK payroll and provide backup support for international payrolls in case of staff shortages.

  • Drive payroll-related projects and improvements, ensuring the team has the necessary tools and competencies.

  • Maintain compliance with local laws, SOX controls, and participate in audits with the Global Head of Payroll.

  • Provide leadership and hands-on support to the payroll team, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance payroll operations and delivery.

  • Oversee global payroll changes, implement new payrolls, and ensure alignment with regulations and company policies.

  • Proactively manage payroll discrepancies, perform regular reconciliations, and mentor the payroll team.

  • Work closely with the Global Head of Payroll and Tax for regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and process documentation.

  • Support global mobility, maintain payroll confidentiality, assist in cross-training, and perform additional duties as needed.


What YOU Bring

  • 10+ years of payroll processing experience, with at least 5 years of experience with global payroll. Experience processing UK and EU payroll is a plus. Experience working with expats is a plus.

  • Any team leadership or management experience is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is required. Any US or UK payroll certifications are a plus.

  • Experience working with payroll software. Familiarity with SuccessFactors, Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll is a plus.

  • Knowledgeable in payroll tax procedures, calculations, and entitlements like holiday, sick, and parental leave pay.

  • Experienced in working with payroll outsourced vendors.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite products.

  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Any accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.

  • Capable of working under pressure, managing multiple tasks, and operating with minimal supervision.

  • Uphold high ethical standards, including honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Possess a positive, solution-focused attitude, excellent teamwork capabilities, and strong communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems, follow instructions, and contribute to cross-functional teams.


Location: Hybrid in Cherry Creek - 3 days per week in office (Relocation is an option)

Compensation: $100k - $130k per year
